Veterans Let Your Voice Be Heard

The system of government we call DEMOCRACY means more than the fact that the PEOPLE have a RIGHT to have a voice in government.  It is based on the belief that the people have the DESIRE to make their voice known in government and will, if given the opportunity, choose to do so.  This page will link you to the men and women who represent our Nation in government, and provide you the opportunity to visit their web sites and also to send them your thoughts and input, click below.

Keep up with how your representatives are

doing regarding veterans issues

THOMAS was launched in January of 1995, at the inception of the 104th Congress. The leadership of the 104th Congress directed the Library of Congress to make federal legislative information freely available to the public.

Since that time THOMAS has expanded the scope of its offerings to include the features and content listed below.

  ·       Bills Resolutions

·       Activity in Congress

·       Congressional Record

·       Schedules, Calendars

·       Committee information

·       Presidential Nominations

·       Treaties

·       Government Resources

·       For Teachers

·       Help and Contact

To visit Thomas and contact your representatives about key Veteran Legislation visit  http://thomas.loc.gov/

At http://thomas.loc.gov you can also review a copy of each bill, determine its current status, the committee it has been assigned to, and if your legislator is a sponsor or cosponsor of it.

The key to increasing cosponsorship is letting our representatives know of veterans feelings on issues.

At the end of some listed bills is a web link that can be used to do that. Otherwise, you can locate on http://thomas.loc.gov who your representative is and his/her phone number, mailing address, or email/website to communicate with a message or letter of your own making.
