Remember Them

A list of Michigan casualties from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom is attached

The list is based on Department of Defense press releases announcing a loss of a service member whose home of record at the time of death was Michigan. The list also includes all losses from the Michigan National Guard regardless of their home of record.

The list is updated after each announced loss and posted at our website www.michigan.gov/veterans Scroll down to the History & Statistics section and click on the Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom Casualties link.

FW: Nationwide Gravesite LocatorY

You may search for burial locations of veterans and their family members in VA National Cemeteries, state veterans cemeteries, various other military and Department of Interior cemeteries, and for veterans buried in private cemeteries when the grave is marked with a government grave marker at the following URLhttp://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/j2ee/servlet/NGL_v1

The Nationwide Gravesite Locator includes burial records from many sources. These sources provide varied data; some searches may contain less information than others. Information on veterans buried in private cemeteries was collected for the purpose of furnishing government grave markers, and VA doesnot have information available for private cemetery burials prior to 1997.
